Youghal4All are busy organising this year’s St. Patricks Day Parade which will take place at 3.00PM on Friday 17th March with plans well under way for the event.
The theme for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Youghal’s Mardi Gras. To compliment the Traditional Colours of Green, White and Gold , if you are considering entering your business, sporting club or organisation this year, we would ask that you would keep this theme in mind. Colourful floats, banners, music and costumes are particularly welcome.
Our Grand Marshall this year is Jimmy Flanagan. Our MC is Tommy Collins and our Judges for the event are Ken Brookes, Frank Downes and Canon Bill Bermingham. If you are not participating in the parade this year, why not come out and support us on the day.
Please note the Parade will assemble on the Breton Road from the roundabout end from 2.00PM and will begin at 3.00PM sharp. The Parade route will go down the back street, turning up on to the Main Street at the Grotto and will pass the viewing stand at the Post Office on route to its destination in Dolphin Square. The prize giving will take place immediately afterwards in Dolphin Square.
To help offset costs we are asking participants to make a recommended donation of €25.00. Business donations are also welcome. All groups and individuals must have their own insurance that will cover them to take part in the parade. There are no exceptions to this.
For all queries on the event or if you would like to help out on the day, Please contact our Secretary Helen Heaphy Grainge on 083 373 2221
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
