Recently, we were delighted to welcome a group of Erasmus students to Youghal. The purpose of their visit was to explore the town and develop ideas that could help shape the future of Youghal going forward.
During their time here, the students had the chance to learn about our town’s medieval history, its coastal setting, and the strong sense of community that makes Youghal so special. They spent time looking around the town and thinking about ways our town could continue to grow and improve in the years ahead.
The visit was a great success, and the students clearly enjoyed their time in Youghal, and the weather wasn’t all that bad either. They worked together to come up with a number of creative and thoughtful and some amazing ideas for the town’s future.
Before their trip came to an end, the group gave a short presentation where they shared their ideas and suggestions. It was wonderful to see the effort they put into their work and the fresh perspective they brought to the town.
We hope that some of the ideas they developed may help inspire future projects and contribute to Youghal continuing to grow and thrive. We would like to thank the Erasmus students for their enthusiasm, hard work, and for choosing Youghal as part of their project, and also to Ruth Lee for making their visit to Youghal possible.
