Cork has been awarded 12 Blue Flag Beaches this year, which is a record annual number for the county. We also got 13 Green Coast Beaches bringing Cork to the #1 spot for awards this year.
Among the beaches that received Blue Flag status are Claycastle Youghal, Redbarn Youghal and Ardmore. Which means a lot to be proud of for Youghal. 25% of awarded Blue Flag beaches in the county are in our own backyard.
