Our Christmas Lights Switch On on Saturday, 15th November was a fantastic success, and it was wonderful to see so many people come out to celebrate the day.
A special moment of the day was when Emma Burns from St. Fergal’s School in Killeagh won the chance to switch on the Christmas lights with Santa. Emma did a brilliant job helping Santa flick the light switch.

Santa and Mrs. Claus kept the children smiling all day as families visited Santa in his grotto. The Youghal Fire Brigade made sure Santa arrived safely, which added great excitement for everyone.

We were also treated to brilliant performances from the Youghal Pipe Band, Youghal Choral Society, Dizzy Lizzies Line Dancers, Zumba with Anna, and DJ Tommy C, who kept the crowd entertained throughout the event.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special:
- JJ for supplying the Christmas trees for the grotto and the lane
- Mary Mac for taking all the wonderful photos
- Michael de Buitléar for providing the barriers
- Brookes SuperValu for the sweet treats Santa handed out
- The Spirit of Samhain team for their help and support

We’re very grateful to all our sponsors, volunteers, performers, supporters, and the people of Youghal for making this year’s event such a great success. Your community spirit truly made the day so enjoyable and successful.
Have A Very Merry Christmas from us all at Youghal Chamber 🎉🥳✨ 🎅
